ICE CREAM LIKE YOU’VE NEVER HAD IT BEFORE
OUR PHILOSOPHY IS TREE TO CUP
We work in harmony with our magnificent rainforest surrounds
All our fruit is organically grown, our trees are irrigated naturally by tropical rainfall and our ice cream is made on site using the finest local ingredients.
Nature has provided us with the sweetness we need in the fresh, exotic fruit from our Tropical Fruit Orchard. This means there’s no need for syrups, packet mixes or artificial sweeteners.
We reduce, reuse and recycle at every opportunity to minimise our impact on the surrounding World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest.
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
Delight your senses with our unique flavour combinations, derived from our organically grown fruit.
We hero the fruit as the centrepiece of each recipe and welcome our visitors to the weird and wonderful world of exotic tropical fruits.
We invite you to open your mind and your mouth to our fresh and unique fruit flavours.
OUR COMMITMENT TO CONSERVATION
The Daintree Ice Cream Company is dedicated to wildlife and habitat protection.
We work with key players in conservation like the Great Barrier Reef Legacy, Rainforest Rescue and the Wildlife Life Land Trust and have dedicated a private portion of our property to revegetation and wildlife rehabilitation projects.

We’re committed to preserving Tropical North Queensland wildlife.
Our sustainable business practices and wildlife conservation efforts ensure we work in harmony with nature.
As we sit within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, our orchard receives an annual rainfall of around 4m per year. We have more than 15 species of rare and exotic fruit trees, that are all watered by mother nature. We also reduce, reuse and recycle at every opportunity.
Protecting our fragile ecosystems is essential to the survival of all wildlife, and private landholders with a concern for wildlife protection are in a unique position. In order to make a real contribution to conservation efforts, we have dedicated a portion of our property to the rehabilitation and release of native fauna. You may be lucky enough to see one of our wallabies hopping around the orchard next time you stop in!
Working in harmony with our natural environment is the key to keeping our business sustainable, ethical and accountable.
Our ice cream is truly special.
Fruit is organically grown in our very own orchard, trees are irrigated naturally by tropical rainfall & gelato is made on site using the finest local ingredients.
All ice cream, sorbets and gelatos are handmade on site, with love and care in small batches. Seasonal fruits of the orchard are picked at their peak so we can continue to deliver the exceptional quality that locals and tourists alike have enjoyed since 1993.
We make the FRUIT the centrepiece of each recipe, instead of simply using it as a flavouring, and offer a Signature Cup with 4 scoops.
In the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, reception is limited.
We have done everything possible to provide EFTPOS/credit card facilities (including installing satellite internet and mobile phone boosters), however, during bad weather, this can still be patchy so please be patient and/or bring cash.
Our ice creams have not been tested for detectable amounts of gluten but all ingredients (and the ingredients of the ingredients) do not contain gluten unless otherwise stated. We have vegan options available also

Ice cream is served in our signature cup which features 4 unique tropical flavours. These change daily depending on what’s in season and complimentary flavours. Serving ice cream in this way affords you the best value for money (4 scoops is $7.50) as well as encouraging you to try something new.
We find that everyone has their own favourite, and the novelty of trying so many unique flavours creates a fun and memorable tasting experience.
To find our Tropical Fruit Orchard, look for our sign 14km north of the Daintree Ferry on LEFT. Or, you can get directions on Google Maps here.
