This week has been an award-winning week!

Not one, but two travel review websites have recently reach out to us to let us know, and it’s all thank you.

Big 7 Travel and Restaurant Guru mentioned that it was our distinct exotic difference, and outstanding customer feedback, that earned us  our place.

Port Douglas Business Awards; every vote counts

We are also excited to announce that we are currently in the running for another award. We have been nominated to win the ‘Best Tourist Attraction (Commercial Venue)’ award in the Port Douglas Business Awards!

To our customers, suppliers, partners and friends, thank you! We appreciate you continuously sharing your love for our exotic ice cream with your friends and family, and making our ice cream award-winning.

Without having to ask, you have shared your experiences with others. This has led to our ice cream being featured as one of 100 faces of small business by Queensland Government. 

We have also featured on Work Play Vacay, and have been recognised with a Certificate of Excellence on TripAdvisor for consistently earning great reviews from travellers.

To show our appreciation, we thought we would celebrate the only way we know how… with ice cream! 


Behind the scenes at the award-winning Daintree Ice Cream Company

Here’s a behind the scenes glimpse into the making of our delicious banana ice cream, all the way from the orchard to your ice cream cup (which is reused as mulch for the fruit trees).

The Method:

  1. Mash the deliciously sweet sugar bananas grown right here on our orchard
  2. Pasteurise milk and sugar for 15 minutes
  3. Blend the milk and sugar with the mashed bananas
  4. Add to the batch freezer and churn for 20 minutes
  5. Voila! Home grown exotic banana fruit ice cream!
